Theresa Warren-Johnson

Theresa is an AMFT (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist) dedicated to supporting individuals throughout all stages of life, including children, teenagers, adults, and families. With over 25 years in the field, she provides a compassionate therapeutic space for those navigating anxiety, depressive symptoms, grief, major life shifts, and interpersonal or parenting stressors.
Her therapeutic style is deeply relational and collaborative, prioritizing an environment where clients feel truly seen and supported. Theresa believes that clients possess innate internal wisdom; she works as a partner to help them uncover strengths, cultivate deeper insight, and acquire practical strategies for moving forward with renewed resilience and confidence.

Theresa brings extensive experience working with younger populations, utilizing developmentally responsive and creative methods. She frequently integrates play-based interventions to facilitate emotional expression and healthy development in children and adolescents.

Honoring the unique narrative and identity of every individual, Theresa offers faith-integrated counseling for clients who wish to weave their spiritual beliefs into the healing process. Her approach is inclusive and respectful of all personal belief systems.

Outside of her clinical practice, she is the visionary behind Girl Talk Ministries. In this role, she empowers women through keynote speaking, organized retreats, and community gatherings centered on personal transformation and spiritual enrichment.

Theresa completed her undergraduate studies in Child Development and Education at North Carolina A&T State University and pursued advanced theological training at Dallas Theological Seminary. Additionally, she holds a specialized certification in Early Childhood Social-Emotional and Behavior Regulation Intervention (EC-SEBRIS).
