Some adults approach their “Golden Years” eagerly, anticipating retirement, grandchildren, or simply a new phase of life. Others may dread the physical and mental effects of aging. It may be difficult for some adults to face the transition to retirement, deal with new medical conditions, or find enjoyable, meaningful activities as they age. Grief and isolation often increase with older adults as well. The challenges of aging greatly affect such adults and impact their families and their communities.

Healthy Connections Counseling Center has several ways to support our aging population. Our clinicians have experience with providing emotional support for issues such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease. We have experience with disability evaluations, and many other dementia and memory evaluations. We can help you and your loved ones understand the nature of the problems you’re facing and determine the best way to go about addressing it.
