Dr. Katie Tone is a licensed clinical psychologist who takes an integrative and holistic approach when working with clients. With 20 years of experience, she works with individual adults and couples. She is certified in nutrition and integrative medicine for mental health, and is clinically trained as a Complex Trauma Professional. She is also a certified yoga teacher. Specializing in trauma and grief, she works with a wide variety of emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual struggles. She believes helping clients make connections with their mind – body – and spirit, as well as with others creates the path to healing and living their most authentic self.

Dr. Tone integrates a variety of treatment modalities to uniquely suit each client. She believes that healing begins when the whole person is treated. This can include working with the foods we eat, our self-care, the way we carry symptoms and trauma in the body, the way we perceive and interpret our environment, and our connections. Dr. Tone also recognizes that grief and loss can apply to many aspects of people’s lives.

Dr. Tone has worked in several mental health organizations in San Diego including Bayview hospital. She received a Bachelors in Psychology from California State University San Marcos, a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from California State University Fullerton, and a second Masters of Arts and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University.
