Emily Ruth

Emily Ruth is an Associate Marriage and Family therapist working with individuals, groups, and the LGBTQAIP+ community. She is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, a certified yoga teacher, and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Specializing in nervous system regulation through a variety of modalities, her aim is to facilitate understanding, empowerment, and embodiment in the areas of your life where you feel frustrated or stuck. Her approach to working with clients is mindful, relational, and supportive.

Emily believes therapy is a space of collaboration and curiosity, a space to inquire about who we think we are and the limits of our beliefs, a space to delve into new shapes. She utilizes both eastern and western modalities to support exploration, connection, and integration. She works with adults for a wide range of concerns including recovery from substance abuse, trauma, stress, self-esteem, sexual abuse, and anxiety.

Emily received a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara, a Master’s in Media Studies from New College of California, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Mercyhurst University.
