Barbara is an ASW (Associate Clinical Social Worker) who works with clients across the lifespan, with a particular passion for supporting children, adolescents, their families, and young adults. She provides individual and family therapy from an attachment-centered, systems-based perspective, helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered.
Barbara supports clients navigating anxiety, low mood, attention or behavioral challenges, social or developmental differences, and attachment-related concerns. She collaborates with clients to explore patterns within families and broader systems while building practical skills for emotional regulation, communication, and resilience.
She integrates play and art-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), tailoring sessions to meet the unique needs of each client or family. Known for her warmth, empathy, and creativity, Barbara uses engaging, developmentally responsive approaches, especially when traditional talk therapy may not feel like the right fit.
Barbara earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and her Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Denver. She has over six years of experience in the mental health field, working across diverse settings, from schools supporting children to residential inpatient care for adolescents with eating disorders.
