Dr. Thomas Do is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, life stressors, and substance use with adults. His clinical style is warm and person-centered. He aims to build a strong therapeutic relationship while working alongside each client towards the goal of developing a more fulfilling life.
Dr. Do offers a safe, non-judgmental environment while supporting each client in their path towards greater self-acceptance, empowerment, and resilience. He is versed in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He is also trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and hypnosis. He integrates a variety of these treatment modalities in his practice and works to understand each client as a unique individual within the context of their situation.
Dr. Do has worked in various inpatient and outpatient treatment centers in San Diego such as Bayview Behavioral Hospital, Paradise Valley Hospital, North Central Behavioral Health, Catholic Charities Clinical Services, Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC), and Casa Palmera. He received a Bachelors in Psychology at San Jose State University, and a Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University.
