Monique (Mo) Mata

Monique (Mo) Mata is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works primarily with individuals and offers a somatic approach to healing. Mo has experience working with clients to overcome issues related to anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ concerns, trauma, PTSD, relationship stressors, life transitions and other related issues. Her work is trauma-informed, and she incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities into her clinical work, such as dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), attachment theory, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, ecotherapy, and art therapy.

Mo believes that the mind and body are interconnected, and that through somatic approaches, you can find answers within yourself and reach your full healing potential. She is committed to providing a safe, calm and non-judgemental space for clients to show up as their authentic selves and heal at their own comfort level. As her client, you will work collaboratively to challenge unwanted thoughts, regulate your nervous system, reconnect with yourself, and build meaningful relationships.

Mo received a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University and a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology: Exercise Sports Science from Vanguard University.
